Thermostatic Expansion Valve TXV 12.5 Ton Balanced Port External Equalizer Sporlan BBIZE-12.5-GA

REFRIGERANT: R-410A only. The letter "Z" in BBIZE is the Sporlan refrigerant code for R-410A. This valve is NOT for R-22, R-407C, R-134a, R-404A or R-507. Those refrigerants require a different thermostatic element charge. An externally equalized valve is required on any evaporator fed by a refrigerant distributor. Nominal capacity: 12.5 tons of refrigeration on R-410A (approximately 44 kW) Thermostatic charge: GA, air conditioning charge. No maximum operating pressure (MOP) limit. The MOP version of this charge is ZCP180, limited to 170 psig (11.7 bar). Thermostatic element: size No. 45 (R-410A), knife edge joint, replaceable on current production Sensing bulb: 0.75 in OD x 2.00 in long (19.1 mm x 50.8 mm) for the GA charge Body and internals: machined brass bar body, brass port machined in the body, stainless steel pin, stainless steel pushrod, fittings silver soldered to the body Capacity rating basis: ANSI/ARI Standard 750, vapor-free 100 F (37.8 C) liquid entering the valve, 7 F (4 K) maximum opening superheat. Apply the liquid temperature and pressure differential correction factors from Bulletin 10-10 for other operating conditions. Current-production equivalent: Sporlan ERZE-12-1/2. Bulletin 10-10 lists the Type ER as the replacement for BBI valves. The ERZE-12-1/2 is rated 12.3 tons at 40 F (4.4 C) evaporator, 13.5 tons at 20 F (-6.7 C) and 12.1 tons at 0 F (-17.8 C) on R-410A.
