Sporlan Liquid Line Solenoid Valve 1/2" ODF E9S240-HP 24V w/ MKC-2 Coil

REFRIGERANT: R-410A capable. The "-HP" suffix means high pressure. Sporlan's high-pressure E series covers R-22, R-134a, R-401A, R-402A, R-404A, R-407C, R-407F, R-410A and R-507. The standard non-HP E series is capped at 500 psi (34.5 bar) maximum rated pressure and Sporlan does NOT list R-410A for it, so the -HP suffix is what makes this valve suitable for R-410A service. Requires only 1 psi (0.07 bar) pressure differential for full opening, so it is also suitable for suction line service. Normally closed: opens when the coil is energized, closes when de-energized Port size: 9/32 in (7.14 mm), the E9 series port size Connections: 1/2 in ODF solder inlet x 1/2 in ODF solder outlet, extended solder type. Can be brazed into the line without disassembly using low or no-silver brazing alloy. Coil: MKC-2, Class F temperature rating, 15 watts AC. Supplied on this unit at 24 V, 50/60 Hz. The 24 V coil is identified by orange lead wires. Because the MKC-2 is Class F, a separate high temperature coil is NOT required for discharge gas service. Body material: brass. Main port seating: stainless steel pin to synthetic seat, floating disc. Stem and plunger: stainless steel. Mounting: may be mounted horizontally, on its side, or in a vertical line. E9 series with mounting holes are not standard. MOPD AND MAXIMUM RATED PRESSURE: read them off the valve nameplate. Every Sporlan solenoid nameplate carries the valve type number, the MOPD and the maximum rated pressure. We are not publishing a figure we cannot source for this exact model. For scale, Parker rates the comparable E10S1-HP series at 450 psi (31 bar) MOPD and 700 psig (48 bar) maximum rated pressure. Do NOT assume this model shares those numbers. Suffix JAQ on the coil ordering code is a Sporlan ordering designation not defined in Bulletin 30-10. Model number decode: E for the extended-connection E series, 9 for the port size in thirty-seconds, S for solder connections, 2 for the MKC-2 coil size, 4 for the connection size in eighths of an inch (1/2 in), 0 for ODF x ODF. Approvals: the Sporlan solenoid line is listed under UL File No. MH4576 and CSA File No. LR19953, and is CE approved. Installation note: Sporlan recommends a filter-drier ahead of every solenoid valve. Pilot operated valves run close tolerances and system cleanliness is essential.
